Yes yes yes! I take these ideas about gestalt a step further with object oriented UX…our brains are primed to look for (and label) objects in our world. If the digital objects are not recognizable, then the user will be wasting cognitive functions to figure THAT out instead of completing the task. I like the idea of applying this working memory principle to OOUX…i always say, the more objects, the more complex the system. Perhaps we should really try to limit our “main” objects to 4 +/- 1. Interesting… thank you, Vivian!!
