This sounds right I line with object-oriented UX! Have you come across it? I think you would love it. Domain concepts are referred to as "objects" and act as the anchors of the product. From those anchors, we define the objects, their relationships, then expand toward designing for their attributes and CTAs, but we start with the all-important objects.
